Project Overview

MV ANASSA called at PaxOcean Shipyard, Batam, for hull repair works.

BSA was appointed as the vessel’s local shipping agent, providing coordination between the vessel’s management, Master, shipyard, port authorities, and relevant service providers.

As the repair schedule and onward voyage arrangements developed, BSA supported the vessel through documentation preparation, marine coordination, and logistical assistance.

BSA’s involvement covered several aspects of the vessel’s port call:

Port Agency & Documentation

Coordination of the agency appointment, pre-arrival documentation, inward clearance arrangements, and outward clearance formalities.

Anchorage & Marine Coordination

Planning and coordination relating to anchorage, pilotage, and vessel movements associated with the shipyard visit.

Shipyard Attendance Support

Coordination and delivery of ship spares to MV ANASSA during her shipyard stay, with onboard receipt and handling carried out by the vessel’s crew.

Follow-up on port clearance, PKKA documentation, and related requirements for the vessel’s onward voyage.

Additional Vessel Services

Coordination of ancillary vessel services, including fresh-water analysis and reporting.

Agency Disbursement Administration

Preparation and revision of port disbursement estimates and related commercial coordination.

Operational Coordination During the Shipyard Visit

An important aspect of this assignment was managing the interaction between the vessel’s repair schedule and the requirements for subsequent marine movements and port clearance.

As the anticipated repair completion and onward voyage arrangements changed, BSA maintained communication with the vessel’s representatives regarding movement planning, documentation readiness, and the information required for clearance applications.

Alongside these arrangements, BSA coordinated the delivery of ship spares to the vessel. Upon delivery, the vessel’s crew handled the receipt and movement of the items onboard.

The assignment required ongoing coordination between the vessel, its management, local authorities, and service providers as operational requirements developed throughout the port call.

Project Completion

BSA completed its agency assignment for MV ANASSA’s Batam repair visit in October 2026.

As part of the outward clearance arrangements, BSA transmitted the vessel’s port clearance documentation to the Master on 20 October 2026.
