We do basic Inward/Outward C.I.Q.P clearance as a mandatory service an agent does, which covers all activities to comply local regulations from pre-arrival to post-departure of a vessel.  But we do not stop there, we also provide other services,  but not limited to,  Superior Vessel Agency attendance , Vessel and Crews husbandry services throughout Batam area, Loading and Discharging Supervision,  Dry Docking and Repair Supervision and many more.

And in regard to the application of the cabotage principle, in which not to authorize non-Indonesian nationality vessels to operate in Indonesian territory, we provide a special service to arrange change of nationality of a vessel into Indonesian nationality. This services including arrangement  to publish certificate of ownership, Nationality certificate and other Trading certificates, VAT Exemption during importing the vessel and Import permit itself in Kepulauan Riau area.

HUSBANDRY SERVICES
A vessel may require much more than simple ship agency services when in port. The need often arises for husbandry services, which can sometimes mean the involvement of a different agent to that which is handling the port call. Batam Shipping Agency can avoid that by providing professional husbandry services at ports and terminals around Batam Island. These services include:

• Crew handling - meet & greet, hotel bookings, shore pass arrangements, Special Immigration Dahsuskim Facility Permit for foreign crew to stay and work onboard the vessel during in Indonesian water, etc.
• Crew welfare - doctor, dentist, mail, and prepaid telephone calling cards
• Crew change, Exit / Entry visa arrangement, travel and ticketing

OWNERS’ PROTECTIVE AGENCY (OPA) SERVICES
Vessel owners and operators may sometimes need to appoint a preferred agent to supervise the charterers’ agency function and monitor port call operations.
Batam Shipping Agency offers a scalable service to owners & operators ranging from provision of a simple independent report, to full involvement in expediting a port call, including the following:

• Checking proforma D/A submitted by the head agent for compliance with applicable tariffs
• Receipt of owners’ funds and payment to head agents
• Reporting the vessel/cargo status, as required
• Checking cargo documents/SOF/ time sheets for correctness, notifying owner if not, and issuing letters of protest
• Signing Bills of Lading
